Brume- Marten
FFO- Gothic Metal, Doom Metal, Post Rock
The 3rd album from this San Francisco outfit is one of the most intriguing albums I’ve heard all year. What feels like such an odd mix of SubRosa, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, and Windhand. It’s as doomy as it is theatrical. Much like if uneXpect decided to make vaudeville-style doom. The music is brooding and changes things up just as it needs to. The strings on this album are filled with different emotions that are so captivating and so chilling and the vocal performances are some of the best I’ve heard in this style of doom in a long time. While this will be far from everyone’s cup of tea, it will be the perfect album for those who are in the mood for this type of music. I also must add listening to this while playing Fallout 4 gives it eerie vibes I wasn’t expecting. Bravo!
